Leading Across Differences Peer Learning Circle - May 2025

This learning circle is designed to facilitate connections, build relationships, and foster candid discussion about the rewards and challenges of working to connect and collaborate across differences. Meeting every other month, the peer learning circle provides a supportive environment for participants to explore the question "what now?" as they continue to build the muscles necessary to navigate deep divides in their own work and communities.

As a member-led peer group, discussions will be framed and driven by participants, guided by the peer leads. No preparation will be required in advance, but from time to time the team may share resources with registrants that could help to ground our upcoming discussions.

Registration is exclusively for alumni of the Bridging Differences Leadership Cohort who are currently affiliated with a Council member, or Council member eligible, organization.

The peer learning circle is led and facilitated by former cohort members and is coordinated by Council on Foundations staff. Our Peer Leads are:

Laura Speer, Director of Strategy, Annie E. Casey Foundation

Marie Cleaves R., Donor Services Officer, Lancaster Community Foundation

Paul Bachleitner, Communications Director, Northwest Area Foundation

Richard Woo, Board Member, Greater Tacoma Community Foundation

Who Can Join?

The peer learning circle is open to alumni of the 2023 and 2024 Bridging Differences Leadership Cohort who are affiliated with a Council member, or member eligible organization. If you have questions about your organization’s status, please contact Roohi Younus: roohi.younus@cof.org.
