This event is intended for executive leaders (CEOs, Presidents, Executive Directors) of mid- and large-sized community foundations who have been in their role for four years or less.
This is the inaugural retreat for community foundation chief executives new to their role. The retreat will be hosted by the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving in Connecticut on August 23 and 24, 2023.
The retreat will be two consecutive half-day sessions that will delve into the practical and topical issues facing community foundation executives new to their role. The agenda provides space to learn lessons from other leaders, participate in peer coaching, and engage in discussions on challenges, priorities, and the role of community foundation leaders in connecting and collaborating across difference. The sessions will put participants into dialogue with peers at similar organizations who are facing the same set of challenges and bring attendees into fellowship with those at differently sized and situated community foundations.
