Funders are invited to join this conversation as part of our series of briefings on how philanthropy can support the ongoing and widespread relief, recovery, and rebuilding efforts as a result of Russia's war on Ukraine. In this roundtable discussion Boris Lushniak, Dean of the School of Public Health at the University of Maryland and a former Acting U.S. Surgeon General will assess the devastation suffered by Ukraine’s medical and health systems and share insights on how to respond. Maryna Baydyuk, President of United Help Ukraine, will share the experiences of her U.S.-based NGO, which has provided over $45 million of medical assistance to Ukraine and developed successful local networks for the distribution of aid and ensuring accountability.
