Building Together is a new immersive learning experience for philanthropic leaders who want to develop the strategies and skills needed to bridge differences and counteract polarization. Unlike a typical conference, Building Together is an active and forward-looking leadership intensive that will ground attendees in our shared sense of humanity and what we can achieve together. Working from a place of understanding that our differences are assets that we can tap into to solve pressing issues, attendees at Building Together will:
- Be inspired by leading experts and fellow philanthropy professionals who are engaged in the work of connecting and building across differences
- Develop the strategies and skills necessary to engage productively across conflict and differences
- Connect and create relationships with peers and potential collaborators, including those who hold different perspectives, beliefs, and identities
- Practice what they are learning in real time
Eligibility to Attend
Building Together is an event designed for Council members (foundation staff and trustees) and eligible nonmembers—foundation staff, corporations and other philanthropic entities, including limited liability companies (LLCs). Nonprofit and for-profit service and support organizations, philanthropy-serving organizations (PSOs), businesses and individuals that provide services and support to the philanthropic sector and/or have an active involvement in philanthropy are also eligible.
If you are ineligible to attend Building Together, please note that the Council hosts other events during the year, many of which are open to nonprofits and other organizations. You are encouraged to stay tuned to the Council’s events calendar.
