In times of crisis, philanthropy and giving programs can often provide support to relieve some burdens for the communities they support. Corporate foundations and giving programs are invited to a peer-led discussion on the methods and processes of scorecards as a tool in responding to national or local disasters. This roundtable conversation will be a space to connect and learn about the challenges and opportunities in corporate philanthropy during natural and/or man-made disasters.
This conversation will focus on:
- How can corporate giving be responsive in their grantmaking to offer immediate relief and balance with ongoing giving programs?
- What are some tools and tips that peers can share about how they approach decision-making – both for natural and man-made crises?
Peer Discussion Leads:
- Amanda Schmitt, MPA, Foundation President, CenterPoint Energy
- Wesley Anne Barden, Grants Manager, Motorola Solutions Foundation
To learn more about how you can connect with peers in the field, we encourage you to join the Philanthropy Exchange, as a space to ask questions, provide feedback, and share resources with staff of corporate giving programs and foundations.
